Bungalow Demolition in Guildford Surrey

We were contracted by a small builder to demolish a 3 bedroon bungalow in Guildford Surrey. The bungalow was situated in a large plot, close to other houses on quite a busy road. Before starting we did a Risk Analysis and Method Statement (RAMS), which we had to approve with the builder. Once agreed we commenced work.

The security of the site was paramount, so we installed high metal fences with our safety notices on them. We also stopped traffic on the road as we took heavy plant machinery on to and off the site. We completed the job in 2 weeks, removing all contents from the site leaving it clear for the new build.

We managed to re-use 85% of the demolition materials, which meets our company policy of reducing land fill to a minimum. Items re-used included, bricks, wood beams, floor boards, roof tiles, as well as recycling all of the metals from the site, including copper pipe, electric cables and other items. The concrete foundations from the site were crushed and re-used, they were left in a neat pile for the builder to use as part of the foundations for the new build.

The builder was very pleased with the work completed and has used us for other contracts in the south east of England.
